Create a listing
Describe your motorhome or caravan, upload photos and set your price. Our step-by-step guide takes you through everything — it takes under 15 minutes.

Approve requests
When a renter sends a request, you review it and decide whether to approve it. You are always in full control.

Pickup and handover
Agree on a time and place for pickup directly with the renter. Document the condition together at handover, ideally with photos.

Earn money
Stripe holds the money from the moment the renter pays. The payout is sent to the account you have connected, at the earliest two days after the pickup day (three days for your first three payouts). We publish the exact payout terms before booking opens. You get the whole rental amount. The renter pays the 12.5% service fee.

The prices are examples, not averages from Bobilvei: you set the price yourself. The figures assume that every night in the period is rented out, and are before your own costs such as insurance, cleaning and wear. You get the whole rental amount; the renter pays the 12.5% service fee on top.

What happens if something goes wrong
Your own insurance must cover renting out: the policy on the motorhome or caravan needs rental cover.
Bobilvei holds no deposit and is not an insurer.
A claim after damage goes to the renter or to your insurance.
At pickup and at return you do a joint condition check, ideally with photos.
If you find damage after the return, document it with photos at once and report it to us within 48 hours.
How you get paid
The renter pays the full amount by card: it is reserved once the renter has entered the card, and charged when you approve.

Common questions from owners
What if my motorhome or caravan is damaged?
You are responsible for making sure the motorhome or caravan is insured for renting out — check that your insurance covers rental. Document its condition with photos at pickup and return, and report any damage to hei@bobilvei.no.
Who can rent my motorhome or caravan?
All renters must confirm that they are at least 21 and hold a valid driving licence. You can set extra requirements in your house rules — for example a minimum age or experience with a motorhome or caravan.
How much does it cost to use Bobilvei?
Creating a listing is free, and you get the whole rental amount. The renter pays a 12.5% service fee on top of the rental price. No fixed costs, no lock-in period.
Can I choose who rents?
Yes. You receive a request and can approve or decline it. You are never obliged to rent out.
What about maintenance and wear?
Normal wear and tear is your responsibility as the owner, just as with ordinary use. Abnormal wear or damage is documented and reported to hei@bobilvei.no. A claim after damage goes to the renter or to your insurance; what the insurance covers depends on its terms.
What happens if a booking is cancelled?
Before you have approved, the renter can withdraw the request at no cost. If the renter cancels a confirmed booking 14 or more days before pickup: full refund minus a NOK 200 administration fee, but never less than half. 7–13 days: 50%. Under 7 days: no refund. If you as the owner cancel, the renter always gets a full refund.
Can I rent out my caravan?
Yes. Choose “Caravan” at the top of the first step when you create the listing, and enter the caravan's permitted total weight and its plug (13- or 7-pin). Both are in its registration certificate. The listing shows renters which licence and which car they need. Check that your insurance covers renting out.
